Harold and Maryke, seasoned travelers with a passion for exploring South Africa and beyond, found their lives forever changed when Harold was diagnosed with cancer. Their peaceful retirement in Langebaan on the West Coast was interrupted as they relocated to Cape Town for the essential treatment unavailable in their former home.

It was during Harold’s recovery that a realisation struck—many patients travel great distances to receive life-saving medical care, often struggling to find accommodation near hospitals. In conversations with his oncologist, Harold recognised the difficulty faced by families supporting their loved ones through treatment.

With a heart full of gratitude and a desire to give back, Simply The Choice Manor was born—a warm and welcoming retreat for travelers, families, and anyone in need of comfort and convenience close to medical facilities.
